HN Volleyball Alumni Spotlight

Coach Jenny Phillips (5 seasons) is proud of her players both past and present, and has helped several of them begin successful college careers on and off the court. The Green Wave Volleyball program will be spotlighting some of our alumnae, and is proud that their road to playing at the college level came through the halls of Holy Name High School.

Alumnae Spotlight: Leah Switalski (Class of 2013)

Leah was perhaps the most recognizable face in the Holy Name gymnasium from 2009-2012 starting instantly as a freshman middle-hitter and capturing the eyes of fans and colleges alike from the first time she trotted onto the court. A two-time captain and team MVP, Leah was the heart and soul of Holy Name volleyball during her time as a student.

In 2013, she began her college career at John Carroll University and has made an instant impact on the Blue Streaks. Reminiscent of her high school career, Leah has earned playing time immediately and is gaining a reputation for blocking and aggressive hitting.

The Holy Name volleyball program is proud of all our alumnae, and will continue to honor those with ongoing college careers on this site, so be sure to check back.
